If you’re a Flyers fan, you know how awesome he is.  If you’re a hockey fan and followed the playoffs closely last year, you know how awesome he is.  But if you’re just looking at his career stats and judging him, you’re missing a lot.

First off, he scores in clutch moments. He scored the winner in the shootout to send us to the playoffs last year. He scored in OT in a few playoff games.  He does everything the coaches ask of him, and he does it with style.  Every time he’s got the puck, you expect something magical to happen.  His puckhandling skills are ridiculous, and he’s pulling amazing plays out of nowhere in pretty much every game.

And now, we’ve got him locked down into his prime, and at a fair price to boot. Sure, he might erupt into a superstar over the next three years and maybe we won’t be able to afford him, but let’s savor him while we can.  Here, enjoy a few highlights, there’s definitely plenty more to come in the near future.
