Flyers Lose Snoozefest to Devils

Old news: the Devils are boring. Boooooooorrrrriing!!!! Always have been. This season, for a change, they also happen to be losers. So of course, when we finally play them, we can’t put together enough offense to overcome them. They took us to a shootout with the score tied 1-1. We have the best offense, they have the worst. They have the greatest goalie of all time, and he was out with injury. And all we could get was one goal.

One day after getting screwed by the refs in OT against Calgary, you’d figure the Flyers would come out angry, play hard, and dominate a team full of nobodies (except Kovalchuk). Nope. NJ controlled the pace in the first period, before things shifted a bit during the second, and we dominated in the third. They’re a shitty team, and we played down to their level. Last year they won the division, and we owned them. What the hell? 10 games in 17 days is tiring, but they also played the day before, and 2 days prior to that. they were also tired, and still managed to play their usual game. I know, games like this will happen from time to time. It just irks me a bit more when it’s against the Devils.

Anyway, Boston is up next on Wednesday, before the Devils come back to Philly for a visit on Saturday.

Also, tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary since I took over as lead writer for this blog. Here is the first post I ever did.
