More Hockey, Yay

As any fan knows, the Winter Classic has become a popular event during the NHL regular season. Last year, the had the Flyers vs some other guys, I’m not sure who. Some team that was erased from the history books because of a monumental playoff collapse, I believe. This year, the featured teams will be Pittsburgh and Washington. Nothing to cure a New Years Eve hangover like watching some outdoor hockey. While we do hate both teams, at least they’ll put on a good show. Leading up to the event, HBO will air a 4 part mini-series about the teams. The first episode is tomorrow, and it should be pretty cool. NHL commish Gary Bettman held a phone conference announcing this show back in September, which I was lucky to be a part of. You can read my analysis about that here.
