Going Nowhere Fast

That car is going to the same place the Flyers seem to be headed.

I don’t have much to say about that game that’s any different from what every fan is thinking.  Boucher choked, but the skaters nearly made up for it. Leighton came in, looked shaky, and left a fat rebound that Tyler Ennis put back in OT to end the game and put us on the brink. After the game, Briere talked about having had our backs to the wall before, coming back, and confidence in this groups ability to do it again.

I’m not saying it’s impossible, improbable, or won’t happen. I just don’t have that much faith that it will. I have no confidence in our goalies. Hell, I’d go back to Bob in net. Give the kid a chance to salvage the series and bring it back to Philly. Most likely we’ll see Boosh back in the cage though.  Leighton looked shaky, even though he stopped everything.

I don’t even know what else to say. This sucks right now. I never imagined we’d have this much trouble with the Sabres. I thought we’d come around in the postseason and start dominating like we know this team can do. They’ve carried most of the play, but there’s more that they can do. What we saw in the second period was what we’ve been waiting for all series long. This was also the first game where Miller was really amazing. Despite his two shutouts, I think this was his best game of the series.

Now, we go back up north, hoping that when the final horn sounds on the game, it doesn’t end in a handshake line.
