Every day this month, one NHL team will be posting a season preview. It’s a good way for you, the Flyers fans, to know what we’re up against this season as we hope to break the Stanley Cup drought. Today we have the Vancouver Canucks.
After coming as close to winning Lord Stanley’s Cup as you can without actually taking home the hardware, the Vancouver Canucks are poised to do everything in their power to ‘seal the deal’.
As it stands right now, the Canucks have made 3 Stanley Cup Finals appearances, yet the ultimate team prize eludes them. With only small changes, relatively speaking, occuring during the off-season, General Manager Mike Gillis still has the utmost confidence in this group to go deep. Some hockey pundits felt that more could have been done to the team during the summer, particularly in free agency.

Tomorrow we have the Washington Capitals. We’ve already previewed the Anaheim Ducks, Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, Calgary Flames, Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets, Florida Panthers, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadiens, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils, and New York Islanders, Ottawa Senators, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Phoenix Coyotes, San Jose Sharks, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Toronto Maple Leafs.
