So it seems that the Penguins finally remembered that they were playing playoff games against the Flyers. They were showing really undisciplined in game 3, which lead to Arron Asham and James Neal suspended for some games, so everyone assumed the Flyers were going to win it in 4. However, the Flyers got too cocky (No surprise there) and blew the sweep in game 4. When the Flyers lost 10-3 to the Pens, I decided to eat my feelings over such a terrible loss.
All kidding aside, I have no idea where the Penguins have been the whole series. Where has Fleury been? Because the guy in net in the more recent past two games, was not present in the first three. I have a good friend who likes the Pens and he was just happy that now the series is actually interesting because losing in four games would have just been boring. I kind of have to agree with him, because I know a long break in between round would not have boded well for the Flyers. They play well under pressure, which is why I think Sunday’s game is going to be intense.
While the Flyers are not completely out of it, as the lead the series 3-2, and neither are the Pens. For the next game there will be pressure on both sides. Pressure for the Pens to push a game 7, which I think all Flyers fans hope they fail at. The pressure for the Flyers is to play as if this is a game 7, as Scott Hartnell was quoted earlier. Which is true, the Flyers only need one more win to finish off the Pens and they can do this Sunday, which would be better than allowing the Penguins to tie it up and be given an even chance to go into round 2.
The Flyers have been in the Pens’ position before, so they need to know how to get inside their heads and to cover the crease in order to surpass them. Hopefully they do it 6, and not 7 games.
