The Flyers deals have started early on draft day. TSN’s Darren Dreger reports the Flyers backup Goalie will be shipped to the Columbus Blue Jackets for three draft picks, including the 45th overall, the 117th, and the Phoenix Coyotes 4th rounder in next years draft.

After being named the starter for the 2010-2011 season, Bobrovsky became Ilya Bryzgalov’s backup last year. “Bob” posted a 14-10 record with a 3.02 GAA. His name has been dangled as trade bait since the Flyers were bounced out of the Playoffs, and a trade seemed imminent.

The 23 year old Russian netminder will be fighting Steve Mason for the starting job in Columbus.

Now, the Flyers will most certainly be searching for a new goalie come July 1st.

Philadelphia has been tied to Rick Nash and Bobby Ryan, and the picks received in the Bobrovsky trade could be shipped out rather quickly.

The NHL Draft is Friday night at 7:00 PM.
