AC/DC is old and wrinkly.

Your Flyers New Goal Song Is Bad

Earlier today it was tweeted that the Flyers would be debuting a new goal song. Well, after Brayden Schenn opened up the scoring for the 2013-14 with a power play goal the fans got their wish. The new Flyers goal song will be TNT by AC/DC.

Apparently the Flyers allowed Claude Giroux and Scott Hartnell to pick the goal theme. This was an exceptionally poor idea. Now while I love both of these players to death, their taste in music leaves something to be desired. See the below video for proof of their questionable taste in terrible bands.

Now, while this song is a definitely an upgrade over DOOP, it still leaves me wanting something else. I loved it when the Flyers played Bro Hymn by Pennywise. It was catchy, fun to sing along to, and not a well known tune. In that last aspect, it felt like it was truly ours.

You can hear TNT in venues all over the sporting landscape. There’s no individuality associated with a song like this. Personally, my vote for Flyers goal song will always be Hockey Monkey by The Zambonis because, I mean, just listen to this song and tell me this wouldn’t be perfect.

If you disagree, your opinion is invalid. But for the sake of an argument, what would you like the Flyers goal song to be? And if you choose the option “Something Else”, make sure you include the song and link in the comments.

What should the Flyers goal song be?
