Rink Rats – November 9, 2013

What a night in the NHL!  The Edmonton Oilers were busy last night.  First, they traded away defenseman Ladislav Smid to Calgary for prospects and then they agreed with G Ilya Bryzgalov on a one year deal.  There were numerous rumors floating around that the Flyers and Oilers had reached a deal, exchanging Wayne Simmonds and 2nd round pick for Ales Hemsky.  This report turned out to be a fake.  Bryzgalov will not play today against the Flyers.
