Who leads the Flyers in game winning goals this season?  Who leads the Flyers in short-handed ice time per game?  Which defenseman logs the most minutes on a game to game basis?  The answer to all three of those questions is the 6’5″ defenseman Braydon Coburn.  His two game winning goals, his 4:09 per game on the penalty kill, and his 22:07 per game (2nd on the team to Giroux) are all crucial to the Flyers.  Yes, he has his bad nights.  Yes, he seems to lack hockey sense every now and then.  As a whole, however, Coburn has been the Flyers most relaible defenseman.  His play thus far is one of the few bright spots on the Flyers struggling blue line.
