1. Good Goaltending

For the first time in years, the Flyers have had solid goaltending on a night-in, night-out basis. Both Steve Mason and Ray Emery have given the team a chance to win almost every single game this season. The Flyers have averaged only 2.17 goals per game, giving their goaltending duo very little goal support. Steve Mason has been lights out, going 7-8-2 with a SV% of .931 and a GAA of 2.17. Ray Emery has also been solid with a 3-4-0 record, a .910 SV%, a 2.60 GAA, and one shutout. Most importantly, each goalie has made key momentum saves that keep the Flyers in each game, even when they deserve to be thoroughly destroyed. I am thankful for this goaltending duo.
