Philadelphia Flyers Prospect Shayne Gostisbehere Signed To ELC

The Philadelphia Flyers are on a roll today.

Shayne Gistisbehere is only a few days removed from having one of the best college playoff hockey games in recent memory. He was on the ice for all seven Union goals and added a goal and 2 assists. The player affectionately known as “Ghost” put on a display at the Frozen Four, exhibiting great speed, superb on-ice awareness, a blistering shot, and solid marking. Scouts have said Shayne needs to bulk up but really, what prospect hasn’t been told that? After watching Kimmo Timonen for all these years. size obviously doesn’t equate to becoming a superb talent on the blue line.

Shayne will be playing for the Philadelphia Flyers AHL affiliate Adirondack Phantoms for the remainder of their season. He will be able to skate with the Flyers during practice once the Phantoms season comes to a close.

After the not so well received extension given to Andrew MacDonald, this was a great palate cleanser for a lot of Flyers fans.
