Philadelphia Flyers Sign Brayden Schenn

Update: Per Bob McKenzie, the contract is a two year bridge deal paying Schenn $2.25M and $2.75M respectively. His cap hit will be $2.5M AAV.

The Philadelphia Flyers announced on Monday night that they have signed Brayden Schenn to a “multi-year” contract. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but they will be shortly. We will keep you posted here at BSB.

The 22 year old center has been the center of much trade talk in recent weeks. With Schenn being an unsigned RFA and the Flyers logjam at center, he seemed like the perfect piece to be shipped out. Although a trade is not off of the table, there is less likelihood of that now that he has been signed.

Brayden Schenn posted 20 goals and 21 assists for 41 points through his first full 82 game season in 2013-2014.
