Last night was nothing special.

And shame on you if you actually thought it was.  Don’t get me wrong, I think we’re all relieved the Philadelphia Flyers were actually able to end a game with more than a single point.  There was plenty of positives to take away from a game like this.

For starters, they actually got some scoring from more than one group of guys.  The orange and black have been an extremely one-lined kind of team this season.  Most of their success has come from the Jakub Voracek/Claude Giroux line.  When it hasn’t been them, it’s another handful of guys.  The only issue is, it’s the same handful of guys.  It was nice to see Voracek, Giroux, Matt Read, and Sean Couturier all get involved last night.

They were also able to pick up a much needed win within the division.  The Metropolitan Division hasn’t been the nicest group of teams to the Flyers, and as the bullies have made proof over the past few years, they need to win games within their division in order to have success.  Last night, they did that.

Despite the positives, there is still an alarming amount of negatives to also take away from this game.  It came from all angles of the game.  If you were smart, you wouldn’t be satisfied or impressed with the victory over the New Jersey Devils. At All.

Here are five reasons you should be unimpressed with last night’s victory.
