Philadelphia Flyers: All-Time Top 10 Flyer Goalies
The Philadelphia Flyers have had it all over the years. Goalscorers, a great defenseman here or there, and some quirky, but great goaltenders. Today, we focus on the goaltending. The Flyers have had a couple truly great goaltenders, but haven’t had one in a long time.

Goaltenders have come and gone, quickly too I must add, and the Flyers for a long time never seemed to care about getting their own star netminder to challenge any of the franchise’s historical tendys.
Lately, that has definitely changed since the Flyers look around at division rivals like Pittsburgh (Fleury) and the NY Rangers (Lundqvist) and see goaltenders that have carried their teams to championships. The Flyers have since replenished their stock of young goalies, in hopes that in the future they have a young star to call up.
For ranking the goalies, you can’t just use a single stat. This is list incorporates many stats to rank each player, and I give bonus points to any award recipients or goalies who were instrumental to a Stanley Cup championship.
Also, for the older goalies, there is an adjusted GAA used that you will see. This is basically an account for inflation in hockey, since the game has changed so much since these guys played in the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. Their real GAA is shown in parenthesis next to the adjusted number.
Without further ado, lets begin looking at our the Flyers top goalies!
