Philadelphia Flyers Prospects in Action Today
Tune in to catch several Philadelphia Flyers prospects in World Juniors Summer Showcase action this afternoon
Teenage hopefuls continue to state their case for inclusion on World Junior tournament rosters in summer tryout camps, and 4 such teams will be clashing this afternoon. As part of the Summer Showcase, Sweden will play Canada at 1pm EST, and Finland will play USA at 4pm.
In the early game, look for goalie Felix Sandstrom in net (3rd round, 2015) for Sweden, with David Bernhardt back on defense (7th round, 2016). On the opposite side, Travis Konecny (1st round, 2015) is coming off an impressive performance on Wednesday.
Also on the roster for Canada is goalie Carter Hart (2nd round, 2016) and Philippe Myers (undrafted free agent, 2015). They have yet to appear in game action.
Switching to the late game, Tanner Laczynski (6th round, 2016) should be in the lineup for the USA. His presence on the squad over much higher drafted players continues to surprise many. There are no Philadelphia Flyers prospects on Finland, who beat Canada and Konecny 2-1 on Wednesday.
The games should be viewable for many fans. In the United States, the NHL network is showing the games. In Canada, TSN is streaming the games for subscribers. Check back here for reports on the games, as well.
