Tanner Laczysnki was next up for the Flyers, selected in the sixth round. And at the rate he has developed, he looks like he could be a steal for the team. It started with the season before his draft. He posted 13 goals and 40 assists for the Chicago Steel of the USHL before finishing the season with the Lincoln Stars.

He posted 11 goals and 32 points in 19 games for the team. He then headed off to Ohio State University. Laczysnki excelled in his freshman season, posting 10 goals and 32 points. He was voted the team’s Most Valuable Freshman. He was fourth in points among B1G rookies and averaged 0.94 points-per-game.

Even better in his sophomore season, he posted 17 goals and 47 points. He ended up a top-three finalist for Big Ten Player of the Year. He was now third in the B1G with 1.15 PPG and tied for 11th in the NCAA in points and assists.

Entering his final two seasons, he was expected to be a player to watch. Despite missing nine games to injury, he still collected 10 goals and 30 points. Laczysnki would lead the team in assists (23) and points (34) during his senior season.

He has a proven scoring touch and could be a threat whenever he joins the Flyers lineup. He will debut with the Phantoms in the fall after signing his entry-level contract about a month ago.
