– Derick Brassard looked very impressive in this one. He won 68% of his faceoffs and looked very comfortable in his first action as a Flyer. He also racked up the lone assist on Egor Zamula’s goal as well.

– Ryan Ellis’ first game in Philadelphia was hopefully just a glimpse of what we’ll see this season from him. He moved the puck well, did not look out of place on a new team, and seemed to play very well with Ivan Provorov. He played in all situations and was second in ice time with 23:43, trailing only Provorov in that department.

– Egor Zamula potted a goal and looked great all-around. He skated well and had his head on a swivel, and he certainly won’t make the Flyers’ decisions easy on what they do to the blueline before they make final cuts.

– Oskar Lindblöm seemed like his regular self tonight. You could see that he had his usual strength back and was definitely more involved as a result. His story has been emotional but also incredibly inspiring and it’s so good to see him back to form.

– Carter Hart and Samuel Ersson both looked fantastic in the Flyers’ net. It’s especially important for Hart given the struggles he endured last season, and he was certainly up to the task tonight. Ersson seemed to fit in pretty well and helped the Flyers stay in the game to force overtime. Both made some great saves and moved well in their crease in this game.

The Flyers return to the ice on Thursday night in Boston as they take on the Bruins at TD Garden for their next preseason matchup.
