Nino Niederreiter

Carolina has to choose from several big names on top of likely giving their goalie an extension. Niederreiter could be a cap casualty for them. The speedy Finn would be a great addition to this team and would pair up well on the top two lines.

Valeri Nichushkin

He is a young player entering the prime of his career. He’s had a career year in Dallas and is looking to score big on a paycheck. He might not be as expensive as other names on this list, but he could be the second or third choice for many teams looking to make a splash. Keep an eye on his market.

Alexander Radulov

Radulov’s best years are likely way behind him. With 22 points this past season, he could still be a valuable veteran depth piece on the third or fourth line.

Reilly Smith

Smith has played well in Vegas. He could be a good second or third line scorer here in Philly. He also seems to be the type of player that could thrive in the raucous atmosphere at the Wells Fargo Center.

Alex Chiasson

Another depth piece that could work out for Philly. Chiasson has played with some of the stars in the Western Conference. He would bring that stable veteran influence they need.

While there are several RFA’s that are intriguing, Patrik Laine is one that many teams would covet. He has been rumored to Philly in the past. He brings blazing speed and a scoring touch that would help the Flyers for years.

Much like Tkachuk, this is the sort of player you might mortgage your draft pick future on. Granted, you don’t want to lose numerous first-round picks, but looking at some of the recent draft picks (Nolan Patrick anyone?), it might be great to get a certified, bonified superstar who can contribute now.
