Philadelphia Flyers prospects got off the ice yesterday and went to the beach for activities yesterday before breaking for the summer
Every year Philadelphia Flyers prospects go from several days drilling on the ice to the beach. The Flyers’ annual trial on the isle was yesterday, with the following schedule.
For the activities the prospects were broken down into teams as follows:
Let’s see how it went.

Apparently at some point after this picture, the players sang Sam Morin happy birthday. Morin was turning 21, and if a motivated prospect ever has the chance to let go for a night, the day summer training activities end would be a good time.
Provorov and Aube-Kubel teamed up again, carrying over their success in the 3v3 tournament to sand castles. One gets the feeling that Ivan Provorov wins nearly everything he does.

Water Sports Session
At the Yacht Club the players did several short activities, including some golf. Other activities included water basketball, sprint swims, bicycle kayaks, and raft building with inner tubes and duct tape.
Prospect Merrick Madsen said he was doing well in the swimming until Tyrell Goulbourne tackled him. Apparently there is no penalty box at the yacht club and Goulbourne got away with it.

The players eventually got a break from physical activities, and met fans at a kids hockey clinic and an autograph session.
The players also listened to some comments from a former Special Forces Operator.

Lastly, the players broke out into a volleyball tournament in teams as pictured above.
Goalies Madsen and Tomek won, which seems a little unfair as Madsen is listed at 6’5″ and Tomek is listed at 6’3″. That said, I’m still looking into why Provorov would’ve let them win when he wins everything otherwise.
