The Big E comes in at the second best captain, even though he is still one of the greatest players in Flyers’ history. His game dominated every opponent in the league. He would put up big numbers on you, and pound you into the ice so hard you would never forget it. Never reaching the goal of a Stanley Cup championship, a lot of Lindros’ legacy as a captain comes from his playstyle and points production. With a lot of off-ice controversy and the management never really fixing the holes in the team they needed to for the team to get over the hump, the Legion of Doom was inevitably doomed.
