The Philadelphia Flyers are underway in 2024-25 and the list of the most important players in the organization continues.

The player who comes in at number 11 right now is Tyson Foerster. The Flyers drafted Foerster in the first round (23rd overall) in the 2020 NHL Draft.

Like many of those who came from that COVID-19 draft class, he took a little bit longer to become an impact player in the NHL but he is very good.

In 2022-24, he had his breakout season as he scored 20 goals and had 13 assists for 33 points in 77 games. The point totals aren't through the roof but scoring 20 goals in the NHL is nothing to ignore.

The Philadelphia Flyers are hoping for big things for Tyson Foerster

Can he continue to breakout year over year? Absolutely. The talent around him continues to get better and better over time too which will make his life easier as he continues to develop.

In Philly's first game of the season, Foerster found himself on the board. The first goal of the season for the Flyers was a Foerster goal assisted by Joel Farabee and Bobby Brink.

All three of them are important to the future of the organization in their own way so it is great to see them working together on the power play.

Foerster has significantly better goal-scoring numbers than assist numbers so far in his career but is that something that will last? Will he just be one of those pure goal-scoring wingers that you stick on a line with great playmakers or will his ability to make others better come?

Only time will tell but there is definitely an important role on this team for him. He showed it in this first game of the season but there is plenty of time for him to get even better.

Being the 11th most important player in the organization is no joke. They need him to score some big goals along the way. Good snipers are big for an offense and he is progressing like one of them.
