The Philadelphia Flyers have had some great captains in their history. Many have brought teams out of the gutter with being loud in the locker room, and some have been silent warriors who led by example on and off the ice. There is a lot that goes into being a captain, from setting an example for the team to follow to answering for the teams faults. Players that undertake these roles are of a higher level, whether that level is in skill, charisma, or smarts it doesn’t matter. As long as they’re effective.
