The Philadelphia Flyers needed to end the rest of their season on a high note. Tonight it might have happened.

There was no doubt that the Philadelphia Flyers are still very much in the playoff hunt. They’re three points behind the Pittsburgh Penguins and that’s going to be an uphill battle. While the Penguins might have a lead, they have a more difficult schedule. Facing mostly Eastern Conference teams will make their schedule one that could see them lose points. That would be an ideal situation for the Flyers. They’re going to have a stronger schedule and a better chance of coming away with more points. The Flyers can make it an easy run as long as they can keep their remaining players healthy. The team’s goaltending has been one of their strengths and if it continues to be, it could be what propels them into the postseason. Find out how well Steve Mason has been performing as well as Radko Gudas’ performance against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night’s edition of Buzz on the Street.

Philadelphia Flyers Blow Out Columbus

Sam Carchidi for Philadelphia Inquirer

"After the Flyers’ dispiriting 4-0 loss on Thursday to the Edmonton Oilers, the team needed an offensive lift. Who would have thought that defenseman Radko Gudas would provide it? Not exactly a scoring machine, Gudas totaled six points in his first 57 games before adding four on two goals and two assists as the Flyers routed the Columbus Blue Jackets, 6-0, on Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center. The Flyers are now just three points behind Pittsburgh for the second Eastern Conference wild-card spot, with both teams having 18 games remaining."

Radko Gudas Puts On Spectacular Show

Ian McLaren for The Score

"For at least one night, Radko Gudas played like an elite-level NHL defenseman. Heading into Saturday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Philadelphia Flyers blue-liner had zero goals, six assists, 98 shots, 98 penalty minutes, and a minus-two rating through 57 games.Check Gudas’ stat line from the tilt with the Blue Jackets:Time on IceGoalsAssistsShotsHitsPIM+/-19:56227544As another point of reference, Gudas’ single-season career high in points is 22, set in 2013-14 with Tampa Bay; in one game, he dropped 18 percent of that total."

"Not so fast, my friend. Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere still needs to be part of the conversation. I would agree that Panarin has established himself as a favorite. I disagree that he’s locked the award up. Gostisbehere, who wasn’t named to Team North America but remains very much in the discussion, has been remarkable this year, and he’s doing it as a defenseman. It will be fun to watch him and McDavid go toe-to-toe when the Flyers play the Edmonton Oilers tonight. Gostisbehere has been an absolute machine on the power play and is a big reason the Flyers are knocking on the wild-card door."

80-Year-Old Flyers Fan Explains Strange Clothing on Ice

    Arielle Aronson for Fox Sports

"Remember the elderly Flyers fan who tossed a bra to the ice to celebrate Braydon Schenn’s hat trick Monday? Philadelphia breakfast show Breakfast on Broad was able to track her down and revealed her identity on Thursday. The woman’s name is Anne Duggan. She is 80 years old and apparently brought an extra bra with her to games for the past three years in the hopes of celebrating a hat trick with it."
