The Philadelphia Flyers forward will be in the lineup as the team plays host to the Calgary Flames.

After snapping a four-game losing skid with a win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday, the Philadelphia Flyers will look to ignite a winning streak as they return home to take on the Calgary Flames for the second and final time this season. The Flyers are also hoping to earn their first win over Calgary since December 4th of 2017, where they beat the Pacific Division team by a score of 5-2 on the road.

Scott Laughton will make his return to Head Coach Alain Vigneault’s lineup in this one, getting activated from Injured Reserve (IR) by Philadelphia on Friday afternoon while loaning Andy Andreoff and placing Nolan Patrick on Long Term IR. The 25-year-old forward broke his finger after a puck deflected off of his hand in the 7-4 comeback victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on October 26th and hasn’t seen time with the Orange and Black since.

Laughton brings a solid two-way skillset back to the roster, posting three points (0 Goals, 3 Assists) in nine games while receiving 1:38 of Time on Ice while shorthanded. It’s unknown where he’ll slot in exactly, but AV suggested that he could be on the third line alongside Kevin Hayes and Joel Farabee in practice on Friday so we’ll have to see if that holds true against the Flames.

In other news, Carter Hart will get the start in-net for Philly and aim for his seventh win of the season. The young netminder was pulled in favor of Brian Elliott in the team’s 5-2 loss to the Florida Panthers on Tuesday, allowing four goals on 18 shots. Not all of them were directly Hart’s fault as the Flyers defense, and puck management was a mess that night, but it’ll be interesting to see if the former Everett Silvertip can rebound from the lackluster outing.
