The Philadelphia Flyers will make their second stop on their six-game road trip at the Honda Center to take on the Anaheim Ducks.

Coming off of a 6-1 win over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night, the Philadelphia Flyers will play another game less than 24 hours after the final horn rang as they face the Anaheim Ducks. The Flyers were able to walk away with a W the last time both sides met earlier in the month, defeating the Ducks by a score of 4-1 thanks in large part to a 40 save effort from Carter Hart.

The 21-year-old goaltender of the future probably won’t be making the start this time around, though, as Alain Vigneault will likely opt to go with Brian Elliott in this second half of back-to-backs. Elliott will look to rebound from a couple of lackluster statistical performances, allowing at least four goals in each of his last two contests.

This East, West matchup will mark the final time these two squads will meet during the regular season, doing so in a relatively quick fashion as they met for the first just over a week ago. Philadelphia will aim to sweep the season series with their Californian adversary for the second consecutive year while looking for their fifth win in their last six games with the Ducks.

Though they possess a lowly 36 points in 38 contests, Anaheim still has the talent to make you pay, with names such as Jakob Silfverberg, Rickard Rakell, and the always dangerous Ryan Getzlaf leading the way on offense. The Flyers must be aware of their presence on the ice and not take this team lightly this evening.

Flyers Betting Odds

According to the Action Network, the Flyers were a -112, and the Ducks were a -108 on the Moneyline as of this morning. This is likely because Philadelphia’s playing two games in a short amount of time with travel also being a factor, making them slightly more evenly matched with Anaheim.
