The Philadelphia Flyers will kick off a three-game homestand by playing host to the Montreal Canadiens at the Wells Fargo Center.

Fresh off of a win over the St. Louis Blues on the road, the Philadelphia Flyers finished out this set of back-to-backs by heading home to face off with the Montreal Canadiens. The Habs come into this tilt, having ended an eight-game losing skid a few games ago and now find themselves looking for a third-straight W following victories over the Ottawa Senators and Calgary Flames in their previous two. Though Montreal isn’t the most feared squads when looked at on paper, Philadelphia can’t let themselves underestimate the Atlantic Division club if they want to start off this homestand on the right foot.

The Flyers will have the opportunity to sweep the season series over the Canadiens with a victory over them tonight, which would mark the first time they’ve done so since the 2017-18 campaign. If they want their best shot at accomplishing that feat tonight, Philadelphia will need to bring the heat offensively, as Montreal’s been pretty inconsistent in their own zone as of late.

While they’ve coughed up no more than one goal in their two of their last three games, the Habs allowed more than three Goals Against in each of the four games prior to this recent winning streak while surrendering four against the Chicago Blackhawks last night. For that reason, Philly has to be prepared for whichever Canadien team shows up at the Farg this evening if they plan on keeping this win streak going.

Flyers Betting Odds

According to the

Action Network

, the Flyers were a -130 on the MoneyLine as of this morning while the Canadiens were a +135. This is likely to do how well Philadelphia plays at home, possessing a 15-3-4 record while skating at the Farg this season.
