The Philadelphia Flyers will host the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Wells Fargo Center.

How you doin’ Flyers’ fans? It’s game day! Your Philadelphia Flyers take on the Columbus Blue Jackets for the first of two contests this week. Tonight’s game emanates from the Wells Fargo Center where the Flyers have been nearly impossible to beat. The game starts at 7:00 pm EST.

Columbus holds the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference playoff standings with one more point than Philadelphia. A win tonight would allow the Flyers to move up a spot to take over the first wildcard position.

The odds are clearly in Philly’s favor as they are strong favorites in this game. They also defeated the Blue Jackets in each of their first two meetings by scoring a combined 10 goals. We can expect to see a solid offensive output tonight.

To make matters worse for Columbus, they are dealing with recent injuries to two of their better players. Defenseman Seth Jones and right-wing Cam Atkinson are both out with injuries that occurred last week. Jones and Atkinson are fifth and sixth respectively in points for their team.

The loss of two solid contributors for the opponent will help the Flyers hold them to fewer goals. Despite winning both games so far this season, they did allow six goals in those games. It would be nice to see that total lowered below the three goals per game average.

It’s easy to be stoked for this game tonight. In their first meeting in Philadelphia, the Flyers abused Columbus by scoring seven goals. A repeat performance of that early-season onslaught would be nice to see. Below is how you can follow the game tonight.
