It’s time for the NHL’s Fan Choice Awards. A few of the Flyers are up for some awards this year.
Every year, the NHL gives fans the chance vote in various categories as a part of the Fan Choice Awards. The finalists are chosen by the NHL. There are a total of twenty categories that you can vote for. When it comes to the Flyers, you can vote for them in four different categories.
First up is the Funniest Player. And there should be no surprise that it is Kevin Hayes who is a finalist for that fan award.
Hayes has become an instant hit in Philadelphia partly thanks to his pre-game antics in the tunnel. He has been mic’d up on numerous occasions and has given us plenty of behind the scenes content.
Turn up the volume.

His most notable contribution has been his nicknames for every single player of the Flyers. He is also known for repeatedly letting the officials know that he used to ref.
Hayes is up against Tomas Hertl, Ryan Reaves and Keith Yandle.
Be sure to head over to the Best Mascot category, as well, where you can get your votes in for Gritty. As his roommate, Hayes would want you to do so. Gritty is up against all of the league’s other mascots.
Please knock twice if you are ok @GrittyNHL #missyou #roomies

Jakub Voracek is up for an award as well. You can vote for him in the Best Beard category. He is up against David Savard, Jordie Benn and Ian Cole.
And lastly, you can vote for the Wells Fargo Center as the best arena in the league. We all know it should win.
Voting is underway and will run through June 1st. You can head over to the NHL Fan Awards main page to cast your votes for the various different categories. Winners will be announced on June 3rd via the league’s social media.
