Sean Couturier and Joel Farabee are eager to get going and believe the Flyers are in a good spot going into the playoffs.

With Phase 2 having started over a week ago, a few Flyers have already taken advantage. Sean Couturier has been on the ice a handful of times already. Joel Farabee has also joined him recently.

While only a few of the players have taken to the Voorhees ice, more will join in the coming weeks as we get closer to training camps in July.

The chemistry that the Flyers built towards the end of the season will have to be found once again. And that is one of the biggest things a player like Farabee believes will help any team win.

Especially since teams will be playing in one of two host cities. And with empty arenas due to no fans being allowed.

"“You’ve got to create your own energy and you’ve got to get up for games. And I think the best team that is able to do that is the one that’s going to come out on top.“"

But Farabee believes that the Flyers will be able to regain that chemistry and get back into the flow of the game. Especially since they have a chance at capturing the top seed in the conference.

And while grabbing that top seed is the ultimate goal, Farabee feels the team has already put themselves in a good spot going in.

Couturier has a similar feeling to that of Farabee when it comes to the round-robin portion of the playoffs. He is another that believes the Flyers are in a no-lose situation going in.

"“For us, the round robin is a great thing. We were seeded fourth, so we can only move up in our standing and our seeding. For us, it’s a nice situation to be playing for."

They will have a chance to take that top seed against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Washington Capitals, and Boston Bruins. Tampa will be the toughest matchup, a team they haven’t beaten since 2017. The team fared well against both Boston and the Capitals this season.

But both Farabee and Couturier are right. The team finds themselves in a good position going in. And regaining the play and chemistry they had before the pause will play an important factor in how they perform.
