Two Flyers were recently named to the list of the top right wingers heading into the NHL postseason.

There are a lot of talented right wingers on the various playoff teams. Players like David Pastrnak and Nikita Kucherov are among the elite players in the league. But there are a few Flyers to look out for as well.

As part of the Super 16 series, various writers across the league’s website have been voting on their top players heading into the postseason. Each position has been taken under consideration.

For this, right wingers were given 16 points for a first place vote, 15 for second place, 14 for third place, etc. Jakub Voracek and Travis Konecny both made the list. The Flyers are one of only three teams that had multiple players named to the top right wingers list.

Voracek finished 11th among the group, earning 56 points during the voting. That was actually the same point total of he finished with this season. Two players above him finished with less points, though both spent time on the injury list.

That was Mikko Rantanen who appeared in 41 games and Vladimir Tarasenko who played in just 10 games early on in the season.

Among right wingers this season, Voracek finished tied for 11th in points with Bryan Rust. His 12 goals were 47th, but he finished fifth with 44 assists. 12 of those assists came in the final 10 games before the season was paused.

While Konecny had a breakout season, he finished beneath Voracek on the list. Coming in at 14th, Konecny earned 37 points. That cake despite putting up a career-high 61 points this season.

His lack of playoff experience could have something to do with it. He only has one point in six career games. Konecny had more points than four players voted above him and was tied with another. Again, two of those players were Tarasenko and Rantanen.

Konecny was hot this season and had the chance to break the 30-goal mark for the first time in his career. With 24 goals for the third straight season, that could lead one to believe he has stalled. But there were still 13 games remaining on the schedule. So he was due to break that career high as well.

Sean Couturier and Carter Hart were also named to the Super 16 lists for their positions. So it’s clear the league sees the talent that the Flyers have.
