After locking up their fourth round selection, the Flyers have secured a contract with Tyson Foerster.

Tyson Foerster is now the second member of the Flyers 2020 Draft Class to sign his entry-level deal. The first-round draft pick signs his two days after Zayde Wisdom put ink to paper on his deal.

Foerster, like Wisdom, had a large leap in production from his rookie season. He took a 57-point jump from a season ago and had 33 more points than his next closest teammate.

That translated to 36 goals, 44 assists and 80 points. And while eyes were elsewhere during the 2020 CHL/NHL Top Prospect Game, Foerster stole the show. He grabbed two goals and one assist. He took home the MVP award that night.

He proved to everyone that night that he was going to be a first round draft pick. And the Flyers made that dream a reality when they took him with the 23rd overall selection.

Now officially a part of the organization, Foerster will head back for another season with the Barrie Colts. He has a shoot-first mentality and has the power to back it up. Special teams are a key part of his game as he posted 18 goals on the power play this past season.

He is looked at as having one of the best shots in the entire 2020 Draft. When Foerster gets going, it is hard to stop him. The young forward posted two separate 13-game point-streaks during the season.

Skating is one of his only glaring weaknesses, but he has already put in a lot of work to correct that. He will only be looking to improve further during his third season in juniors. He was the brightest spot on a Barrie that, while they clinched a playoff spot, was barely above a .500 winning percentage.

The driving force behind the Colts offense, Foerster can only go up from here.
