Wells Fargo Center will be holding their first public event since the pandemic began.
On Tuesday, the Wells Fargo Center announced they will be opening their doors for the first time since March for a Halloween-themed event. Operating at limited capacity and enforcing strict social distancing guidelines, those who buy tickets will be able to watch a Halloween movie on the new 4K scoreboard while also enjoying halloween-themed food and drinks that can be located throughout the concourse.
Attendees will be required to wear masks while inside the building at all times and seating will be spaced out per CDC guidelines. Those who do not comply with the outlined social distancing guidelines will be ejected from the arena, the Wells Fargo Center says.
When the pandemic hit the United States, all events at the Wells Fargo Center that were scheduled for the upcoming months – including all sporting events – were canceled.
According to the Wells Fargo Center event calendar, the Halloween-themed movie event that is being held for one-week is the only event that is confirmed to be held. Events like music concerts are not confirmed and are likely to be postponed or even canceled by the event promoter.
This event will mark the first event that the Wells Fargo Center will hold since March. As the NHL and NBA schedules are currently to be announced, the Wells Fargo Center has no sporting events scheduled for the foreseeable future.
The WFC has a capacity of 19,500 and it’s highly reported that should sporting events be public in the upcoming future all arenas will be operating at half-capacity.
The earliest the Wells Fargo Center will see a sporting event again is January 2021. Even then, it’s unclear if it will be public or closed to the public.
