56 games against only a handful of opponents should be quite the fun season for the Flyers.

With the new divisional alignments for this season, the Flyers will only be playing their games against seven opponents. The teams makes up the East Division, otherwise known as the Mass Mutual Division after the NHL partnered with sponsors for the season.

So the Flyers will play blocks of games against the same opponent, typically two games before moving on to another. The games are either played as a back to back or with one day in between, similar to how it is done in baseball.

They will play each opponent approximately seven to eight times throughout the season. It all will kick off on January 13th and run through the Flyers final game on May 8th. That is about a month later than the NHL regular season would typically end. The goal was to get back on track for the 2021-22 season.

The heaviest part of the schedule will fall between March and April when the Flyers play 15 games each. The lightest is obviously May when they only have a total of five games. Otherwise the other months feature 10-12 games.
