Lehigh Valley Phantoms release 2021 schedule

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms begin their season and their quest at capturing the Calder Cup since the 2004-2005 season on February 6th where the Phantoms will head to the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania to begin the AHL season campaign.

Typically in a normal year, AHL teams will play 72 game regular season schedule but this year, Lehigh Valley will play a total of 38 games equalling out to 19 home and away games.

The Phantoms season will begin on February 6th and conclude on May 16th.

Just like the NHL format, the AHL follows suit with teams only playing each other in their respected divisions. The Phantoms, who play in the North Division, will only play the teams of Hershey, Wilkes Barre Scranton, and Binghamton.

Lehigh Valley Phantoms will only be playing teams in their own state and will travel 90 minutes to play the Binghamton Devils who are playing out of Newark, New Jersey for this season at the practice facility shared with the New Jersey Devils.

No word yet on how the playoff formatting will go for the Calder Cup Playoffs which should be scheduled shortly after the conclusion of the season.

Lehigh Valley Phantoms will kick the tires off with seven games with only one back to back, home and home split against the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins. We know that the Phantoms first opponent of the season to kick things off will be Hershey and for the first two games Lehigh Valley will have a four day rest stretch period between opponents of the Devils and Bears.

Lehigh Valley will open their season at the PPL Center on February 20th making their first four games on the road.
