The Philadelphia Flyers and New Jersey Devils competed in an up and down momentum-swinging hockey game that ended in a Flyers victory 5-3 on Tuesday night.

Roster Moves

The Flyers made two roster moves prior to the puck drop on Thursday night at the Prudential Center. The team recalled defenseman Nate Prosser and forward Connor Bunnaman from the taxi squad in a move that came across as confusing and odd to some.

It’s unclear, obviously, until game time if Prosser will receive minutes tonight but anything is up in the air and it’s likely he will see some ice time.

The Flyers need to build a little momentum off of the Tuesday night win over the Devils. They have been outplayed most games to start the season. If the Flyers are to lose this game it will be because they can’t seem to break out of a five-minute stretch of sloppy play. They have shown so far this season that if you have them on the ropes, press down on the gas and you can finish them.

Starting Flyers Goaltender: Carter Hart

Carter Hart will be making his return to the Flyers net after getting walloped by the Bruins this past Saturday 6 to 1. Hart has been rock solid for stretches of games but has yet to put together a full 60-minute performance thus far. This would be an opportune time for the Franchise goalie to break out of his early-season slump. It’ll be a fun game to watch.
