The Philadelphia Flyers look to earn their fourth straight win tonight when they take on the Islanders for game two of the weekend series at the Wells Fargo Center.
The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm on Sunday night. Tonight’s game will be the last Flyers game until Wednesday when they take on the Boston Bruins at the Wells Fargo Center in what should be a very interesting series to watch.
Here are a couple of things you should know to get ready for tonight’s game.
Starting Flyers Goaltender:
Brian Elliott will get the start tonight for the team. Elliott has the chance to win four straight starts to open a season for the first time since the 2015-16 season with a win tonight. In his entire career in the National Hockey League, Elliott has compiled an 8-2-7 record versus the New York Islanders.
Player to Watch: Travis Konecny & Jakub Voracek
Flyers forward Travis Konecny, who is among the league leaders in points, will be back in the lineup tonight after being benched in a very loud message that was sent by head coach Alain Vigneault in Saturday’s game.
Jake Voracek is another player to watch out for in tonight’s game. He currently leads the Flyers with ten points earned this season. Voracek scored in Saturday night’s game to put the Flyers up 1-0 early in the first period with their first goal of the game.
