The Philadelphia Flyers will wear the new retro reverse jersey seven times this year, the team announced early Tuesday morning on their social media channels. Wednesday’s game versus the Boston Bruins at the Wells Fargo Center will be the first time the team wears the retro reverse jersey.
The Flyers will wear the retro reverse jersey for their game at Lake Tahoe versus the Boston Bruins on February 21st. The National Hockey League had announced the Flyers will play an outdoor game this season at Lake Tahoe in January.
The Flyers will wear the jerseys two times against the Boston Bruins and New York Rangers, one time against the Washington Capitals, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the New Jersey Devils.
Here are all the dates and games the Flyers will be wearing the retro reverse jersey:
February 3rd: versus the Boston Bruins
February 11th: versus the New Jersey Devils
February 21st: versus the Boston Bruins
February 24th: versus the New York Rangers
March 13th: versus the Washington Capitals
March 27th: versus the New York Rangers
April 15th: at Pittsburgh Penguins
The Flyers will wear the retro reverse jersey just once on the road, with the rest being home games at the Wells Fargo Center in addition to the game at Lake Tahoe.
The game on February 11th versus the New Jersey Devils is questionable after the Devils announced they placed ten players on the COVID-19 protocol and subsequently suspended their season through at least February 6th. Should a game be postponed, it’s unclear if there will be a make-up date for the retro reverse jerseys to be worn.
The highly-anticipated jerseys will sure be something fun to look forward to with their unique design. Every team in the National Hockey League was given their own respective retro reverse jersey to be worn throughout the course of this season.
