It is a bit early in the season to be talking about trades, but it feels like something that needs to be discussed. The Flyers need to be buyers at the trade deadline. They have a tough road ahead of them in the hardest division in hockey.

The Flyers are currently tied for fourth place in the division with 25 points with the Pittsburgh Penguins. They sit behind 1 point behind Boston with, who has 26 points They are three behind the division leading Islanders and Capitals.

The Islanders have three games in hand while the Capitals and Penguins have currently have two in hand. The Flyers showed signs of being the team they were from last year, but turnovers reared their ugly head in the recent loss to the Penguins. One thing is certainly, they need to get help on the Blue line badly.

The Flyers are filled with young prospects thanks to former general manager, Ron Hextall. This will certainly help when it comes to the trade deadline. They are in need of a true number one defenseman. They could also potentially use another top scoring winger and a player to help bolster their depth.

There are plenty of teams who will be sellers at the deadline and who will looking for some of that younger talent. The only untouchables should center around Carter Hart, Ivan Provorov and Sean Couturier. So lets discuss two trade partners that could love the players the Flyers possess.
