It’s an exciting time in Philly sports. The Phillies have their Opening Day game against the Atlanta Braves on Thursday, the 76ers look like they’re ready for a deep run into the NBA playoffs, the Flyers are fighting for a spot in the playoffs, and the Eagles are… well a dumpster fire to be honest.

So out of curiosity, I created a poll to see what fans are looking forward to the most.

Flyers Playoff Push

Let’s start with the Flyers who got 39.1% of the vote, which means about 81 out of the 207 people who voted, voted for them. This is very interesting because they had an abysmal month of March. It’s really shocking to see that fans are looking forward to watching the Flyers the most out of any other team. Let’s be honest, the results of this poll were heavily swayed because Broad Street Buzz retweeted it. It generated a lot more traffic to the poll, but it also created some bias in the poll because hockey fans were the primary voters.

The Flyers are in a very interesting position as they currently sit at 5th place in the Mass Mutual Eastern Division. They are three points behind the Boston Bruins, but the Bruins have two games in hand. On the plus side, Philadelphia has three more games against Boston. They need to win at least two out of the three games they play against them, which is a big ask considering how badly they’ve played recently.

Overall, I hope the Flyers make a push towards the playoffs, and a trade from Chuck Fletcher could help that wish. If they do make a run it would easily be the most exciting thing, however they need to prove that they aren’t the team we all saw in March and I just don’t really see that happening.
