The Philadelphia Flyers will be inducting Paul Holmgren and Rick Tocchet into the franchise’s Hall of Fame in a pregame ceremony on November 16th at Wells Fargo Center prior to the game against the Calgary Flames. As part of the festivities, the alumni and Flyers Charities will be hosting a very special “Orange and Black” alumni game on November 15th at the Wells Fargo Center the day before the ceremony.

All proceeds from the event will help benefit Flyers Charities and other charitable causes put on by the Flyers Alumni. The game will consist of two teams, “Team Holmgren” and “Team Tocchet”, named for the two inductees. Every decade of Philadelphia hockey will be represented in some way on the ice and behind the benches as well, and you can guarantee that legendary public address announcer Lou Nolan will be relaying the action as usual.

Brad Marsh has always played a big role within the Flyers alumni and was on hand to discuss the game and why so many former players jumped at the chance to come back to town for this event.

"“If you listened to Paul and Rick’s comments from yesterday, one, they wanna come back because it’s the Flyers. And two, they wanna come back and be a part of Paul and Rick’s special night. ‘I wouldn’t miss it. I’m there, I’m there.’ And third is, as I said earlier, they just wanna come back and see their old teammates. So it’s, as I’ve said, it’s a great atmosphere that’s created doing these alumni events.”"

Some of the confirmed attendees so far include Tocchet, Holmgren, Eric Lindros, John LeClair, Joe Watson, and Mark Howe, among others.

Flyers President of Business Operations Valerie Camillo was very pleased with the announcement today.

"“We’re fortunate to have so many former players still deeply involved with our organization, and these celebrations are important opportunities to bring the Flyers family together to share old memories, and create some new ones, too. We’re looking forward to seeing dozens of Flyers greats back on the ice in the orange and black, and we know this will be a special night for our fans, as well.”"

More players and attendees will be announced in the future leading up to the event, and fans can purchase their tickets for the game now. They can also choose to purchase VIP packages that include access to a pregame program hosted by former player and broadcaster Bill Clement, a happy hour event with the alumni, and a signed Flyers Hall of Fame puck from Paul Holmgren and Rick Tocchet.
