With hockey just a few weeks away, television companies covering the NHL have released their broadcast schedules for the 2022-23 season. The Flyers will see themselves on national television or a streaming network 13 times this season. ESPN, ESPN+, ABC, and Hulu will see eight games while TNT will get the remaining five.

The Flyers’ season and home opener against the New Jersey Devils are headlining those national games. It will also be John Tortorella’s debut as the team’s new head coach. It is an interesting decision to have the home opener not available on television, so if you are not planning on attending the first game of the season, you will need to have access to either ESPN+ or Hulu in order to watch

There will also be two games against the rival Pittsburgh Penguins. The Flyers will pay a visit to the defending Stanley Cup champions as well. A total of eight division games will be seen on national television or through a streaming platform.
