The Flyers are hitting the road for their first preseason game away from home when they take on the Buffalo Sabres. It is their second preseason game after a victory over the Bruins on Saturday. This is also the Sabres second preseason game after their win over Washington on Sunday.

It is another young lineup for the Flyers as we’ll see the Cates brother, Noah and Jackson, once again. They’ll be on a line with Cooper Marody who is making his preseason debut. He’ll be looking to show the team that he can be a capable depth call up.

Travis Konecny is making his preseason debut as well as he will skate on the top line with an NHL lock in James van Riemsdyk and likely NHL players in Morgan Frost. On the backend we’ll see a potential pairing in Cam York and Justin Braun.

Troy Grosenick will handle the goaltending duties for the first two periods while Samuel Ersson will handle the last one.

Similar to the Flyers, the Sabres will have a lot of youth in their lineup as well. Fans will be getting their second look at both Matt Savoie and Lawrence Pilut. This is Savoie’s first training camp after being drafted ninth overall this summer.

Linus Weissbach will be getting an opportunity to play the wing will two key players in Jeff Skinner and Tage Thompson. This will also be Ilya Lyubushkin‘s first game in a Sabres uniform after signing a two-year contract in the off-season.

Craig Anderson is expecting the game the start but isn’t likely to play the full 60 minutes so Malcolm Subban will get a chance at some point during the game.
