October is right around the corner, and with it comes a new season for your Philadelphia Flyers. While this is still a rebuilding season, you can never count this team out and not expect to have some fun at games this season.

Here are some home games you should circle on your calendar to attend:

Canucks @ Flyers, Oct. 17, 2023: Flyers Home Opener

The true start of the Danny Briere era as the General Manager will start on the road. However, for the fans, it will start when Lou Nolan announces him on opening night as the General Manager of the Philadelphia Flyers. The home opener is always a party, but this year will truly bring the new era of Orange.

The last time the Flyers had their home opener against the Canucks in 2021-2022, there were a lot of different players on the ice, people behind the bench, and suits in the front office. While there have been a lot of changes, there is no doubt will this new era get a lot of love from the fans.

Golden Knights @ Flyers, Nov. 18, 2023: Flyers host Stanley Cup Champions

This may not be a rivalry, but seeing the Stanley Cup Champions come to Philly will be a great game to go to. The Knights and Flyers have played 10 games in total. The Flyers are 2-3-0 at home, so both teams currently have one more win in the opponents building.

While the Knights mostly built their team with players acquired in the expansion draft, they did what most teams want to do: build around their star players while bringing in young players of their own. Vegas is filled with star power and they are a marquee matchup for any team in the league.

Blue Jackets @ Flyers, Nov.19, 2023: Ivan Provorov’s return to Philly

The Flyers former 7th overall pick from the 2015 NHL Entry Draft will return to the Wells Fargo Center for the first time since being traded this offseason. While Provorov had some controversy surrounding him during his tenure in Philadelphia, you cannot undermine his impact on the ice. While Provorov will get a video tribute, we can fully expect there to be a mix of boos and cheers for Ivan.

Penguins @ Flyers, Dec. 4, 2023: Keystone Rivalry game

The Flyers and Penguins have a rivalry as old as time. While this is going to be one for the fans to come out and support their team, it’s going to potentially be one of the last few seasons we see this Penguins team to try to win it all for a while.

With the addition of Erik Karlsson, this is an indication that the Penguins are looking to make a final push with their aging superstars, led by Sidney Crosby. While the Flyers are headed the other way trending upwards, at some point, these teams will meet in the middle when the Pens begin trending downwards.

Blues @ Flyers, March 4, 2024: Kevin Hayes’ return to Philly

Kevin Hayes brought something to this team when he was acquired that we had not seen in quite some time: a personality. Hayes was funny and brought laughter to his mic’d up games. While his final season here was largely a mixed bag, the veteran forward was a warrior for playing through injury and the loss of his brother. Just like Provorov, Hayes can probably expect a mix of boos and cheers.
