For the first time this season, the Flyers will make a trip to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Hockey Club.
Utah got the better of the Flyers during their first meeting in December. Five of the game's six goals were scored in the second period. Philadelphia tied it at 1-1 and 2-2 before Logan Cooley's power-play goal was the eventual game-winner. Utah added a shorthanded goal in the third to pull away with the 4-2 victory. Both of the Flyers goal scorers in that game will not be in the lineup as Joel Farabee was traded away and Owen Tippett remains out with an injury.
Philadelphia Flyers
Andrei Kuzmenko and Jakob Pelletier were not present at the Flyers' morning skate as they continued to sort out their visas. If they can do so and can arrive before puck drop, they will be in the lineup. But it's tough to believe they would be able to get everything handled and arrive in time. So their Philadelphia debuts will have to wait another game most likely.
It won't matter who is in the lineup, though, if the Flyers can't put the puck in the net. They have been shutout in three straight games and have not scored in 180:15. That was an empty netter, so they've gone 217:11 without scoring on an actual goaltender. The team record is 199:43, set over portions of four games in 2003.
They will get Nic Deslauriers back as he returns for the first time since November 9. He missed the last few weeks with an injury he suffered during practice. Considering he's only played seven games and has one assist, he is not the answer to their offensive woes. They will continue to be without Ryan Poehling, Egor Zamula, and now Rasmus Ristolainen as well as Tippett. If the Flyers don't score by the last 23 seconds of the first period, they will set a new franchise record.

Scott Laughton - Rodrigo Abols - Bobby Brink
Nicolas Deslauriers --Jacob Gaucher - Garnet Hathaway

Utah Hockey Club
Utah comes into Tuesday's game in a tough stretch as well. They have lost five straight games, scoring two or fewer goals. Their last 10 haven't been any better as they are 3-5-2 in that stretch. Only one point separates them and Philadelphia in the standings.
While their overall season hasn't gone well, Clayton Keller is having another solid season. He leads Utah with 18 goals and 56 points. He's been strong on the power play as well, with 22 of those points coming on the man advantage. Keller enjoys playing Philadelphia, as he's posted five goals and 13 points in 13 career games. Dylan Guenther is another player to watch as he's likely to bust through his career highs. He returns to the lineup after missing 12 games due to an upper-body injury.
Karel Vejmelka is having a career year in his fourth season. His 2.48 GAA and .911v SV% are both career highs. He's rightfully handled a large chunk of the goaltending for Utah.

Dylan Guenther - Barrett Hayton - Michael Carcone
Liam O’Brien - Kevin Stenlund - Nick Bjugstad
