Flyers vs Bruins, Game 10: Notes, Lineups, And How To Watch
The Flyers have lost their last four outings when traveling to TD Garden.
It’s a brief road trip as the Flyers are off to Boston to take on the Bruins.
It hasn’t been easy for Philadelphia at TD Garden. They’ve lost their last four games in that arena, with their last win coming in April 2021. All three goal scorers for the Flyers (Travis Konecny, Sean Couturier, and Travis Sanheim) remain with the team. However, each player who assisted on those goals (Ivan Provorov, Claude Giroux, and Kevin Hayes) is no longer around.
The Bruins haven’t been an easy opponent no matter the territory. In their last 20 meetings, Boston has a 14-4-2 record. So it doesn’t matter where the teams play, the Bruins have the edge.
Philadelphia Flyers
Heading into this game, there will be a few lineup changes. Nic Deslauriers, who has played in the last four games, will be out of the lineup. He recorded an assist, his first point of the season, in the loss to Montreal. Bobby Brink will check back in for the first time in three games. He has a big opportunity ahead of him to try and cement himself a permanent spot in the lineup.
Regardless of who is in the lineup, the Flyers will need to put up a much better effort than they did against the Canadiens. Scott Laughton was one of those to admit that the group has been playing disjointed instead of a connected unit. That can happen when offense comes at a premium. But they need to find a way to work together to break themselves out of this.
One problem they haven’t had is their starting goaltender. Sam Ersson will be back in the net and has been a bright spot. While his numbers (3.56 GAA & .872 SV%) don’t look inspiring, he has looked more and more like the player from early on last season. Their backup goaltending is a different story. But Ersson is not to blame for this group’s struggles.

Joel Farabee - Scott Laughton - Bobby Brink

Boston Bruins
It’s a good thing there is still plenty of time to go in the season because the middle of the Atlantic Division is log-jammed. That includes the Bruins who are one of three teams with identical .500 records. Along with Montreal and Detroit, the teams are 4-4-1 in nine games played. The Bruins have lost three of their last four, though have group points in two of those games.
They are, unsurprisingly, led by David Pastrnak in both goals (8) and points (7). 26-year-old Cole Koepke already has career-high numbers. He entered the year with 26 games under his belt so he is no longer considered a rookie. But Koepke has had an excellent start with three goals and seven points in nine games. He signed with the Bruins as a free agent this past summer.
Before Jeremy Swayman’s last-minute signing, Joonas Korpisalo was deemed the Bruins starting goaltender. Since then, he’s appeared in only two games with Swayman back. He is the expected starter for this one and has posted a 4.57 GAA and a .850 SV%. Korpisalo allowed six goals in his first outing and then three in his last.
