The home stand has not been kind to the Flyers as they have lost three straight games. Entering the second half of a matinee back-to-back, they'll welcome in a Devils team clinging on to the final spot in the division.

This is the fourth and final time the two rivals will face. The first three games all took place in January as the Flyers won two out of three, with their wins only coming by two goals. They were shut out 5-0 in the third matchup.

Philadelphia Flyers

If anyone needs to break out of a funk, it's Travis Konecny. The dynamic forward hasn't been able to buy a goal and his frustration has continued to mount. He has just one goal in his last 17 games. He's pointless in four straight games. It's not for lack of trying either. If he can find a way to regain his offensive touch, the Flyers will benefit from it.

Though, it won't matter if they can't shake off their defensive issue. Against the Kraken, they gave up far too many odd man rushes, including a shorthanded opportunity that put the game away in the second period. Not to mention their five power play chances that went by the wayside. They'll face a Devils team that doesn't allow many goals per game, sitting second in the league at 2.55 along with a top five power play and penalty kill.

After Sam Ersson continued to struggle against Seattle, it should be Ivan Fedotov's turn in net. His audition to remain the backup continues. His last start was by far his best of the season when he allowed a single goal to the Jets a little over a week ago. It was his first win since Nov. 29, a stretch of eight games without a victory.

Flyers Projected Roster

Owen Tippett - Sean Couturier - Matvei Michkov

Olle Lycksell - Ryan Poehling - Travis Konecny

Nic Deslauriers - Rodrigo Abols - Jakob Pelletier

New Jersey Devils

Holding on to a playoff spot by the skin of their teeth, the Devils have lost three straight and will be without their captain for the rest of the season. Jack Hughes recently underwent shoulder surgery and will not return until next year. They have other players that have been providing offense this year, but that is a big blow.

Aside from Hughes, Jesper Bratt is atop the team's points list with 70. He recently had 16 points in a 10-game stretch, but has just two points in his last five. Nevertheless, this is his fourth straight year hitting the 70-point mark for the Devils. Behind him, the points off significantly. While Nico Hischier is second on the team with 26 goals, he only has 49 points. A strong finish could set a new career-high in goals as his best was 31 in the 2022-23 season.

Jacob Markstrom has been the primary goaltender for the Devils. He's fared well overall, though has lost his last six starts. He recently returned after missing over a month due to injury. Markstrom was in net against the Jets in the last game, allowing all six goals. But his season numbers appear better, posting a 2.34 GAA and a .907 SV%. Those are his best numbers since 2021-22 with the Flames.

Devils Projected Roster

Timo Meier - Nico Hischier - Stefan Noesen

Ondrej Palat - Dawson Mercer - Jesper Bratt

Erik Haula - Cody Glass - Daniel Sprong

Tomas Tatar - Curtis Lazar - Nathan Bastian

Luke Hughes - Brett Pesce

Brian Dumoulin - Jonathan Kovacevic

Brenden Dillon - Dennis Cholowski
