Fresh off an overtime victory against the Blackhawks, the Flyers will finish off the home stand against the Vegas Golden Knights.
That win broke a short two-game losing streak. Vegas comes in with a two-game winning streak. They've gone 6-3-1 in their last 10 games. While the Knights boast a strong home record, they are 5-4-2 on the road. But, they'll be going for their third straight road as well. So they've improved upon that stat lately.
Regardless of the numbers, it is not going to be an easy game for the Flyers to win. They can finish with a winning home stand if they're able to take down the Knights.
Philadelphia Flyers
The Flyers are starting to get healthy as both Cam York and Emil Andrae returned against the Blackhawks. While on an emergency recall, Helge Grans stayed in the lineup and saw his recall converted into a normal one. He has impressed John Tortorella and will get another game tonight. Time will tell when Jamie Drysdale returns, which he is nearing.
Noah Cates scored his first goal of the season in the overtime win. He's one of the players the Flyers would like to see get going. Cates deserved the goal as he has been doing all the other things right lately. Sean Couturier also broke a drought, scoring his first goal since his hat trick against Minnesota on Oct. 26. The Flyers could use more depth scoring, especially against one of the top teams in the league.
While Sam Ersson nears his return, Ivan Fedotov will return to the net against the Knights. Vegas is among the league leaders in goals scored per game so he will need to be at his best. Fedotov has played well lately, continuing to try and cement himself as the backup goaltender. His season numbers sit at a 3.69 GAA and a .875 SV%.

Vegas Golden Knights
Vegas comes into this matchup off a hot offensive showing. 11 different players registered a point in the win against Montreal, tying a franchise record. Cal Burke scored his first NHL goal in the victory. The Knights got contributions from up and down the lineup, a clear indication of the depth they have on the roster. They are going for their third straight win.
Jack Eichel, after grabbing three points last time out, became the fastest Knights' player to reach 32 points in a season. He did it in 21 games. While he leads Vegas in points, he is tied for fourth in the league. Pavel Dorofeyev leads Vegas with 10 goals as the 24-year-old is four goals away from setting a new career-high. He is on pace to break his high in points as well.
Adin Hill has held things down for the Knights. He has won three of his last five starts, only giving up two goals apiece in four straight. So it's been tough to score on him lately. Overall, Hill has a 2.99 GAA and a .887 SV%.
