After stealing two points in Ottawa, the Flyers return home for a lengthy home-stand. They will begin with the Buffalo Sabres.

This is the first of three meetings, though the two won't see each other again until the end of March after Saturday night. Both have played similarly over the last 10 games. Buffalo is 6-4-0, while the Flyers are 6-3-1. The Sabres won their previous match and Philadelphia has won two in a row, gathering points in four straight.

Philadelphia Flyers

Entering tonight's game, Erik Johnson will play his 1,000th career game in the NHL. The long-time veteran is in his first full season with the Flyers. He will do it against the team he was traded from at last year's deadline. Johnson will then be celebrated on Monday, against the team he spent most of his career with the Colorado Avalanche. It's sure to be an emotional game.

The Flyers could get Sean Couturier back into the lineup against the Sabres. After missing his first game of the season against Ottawa, the Flyers' captain indicated he was ready to return when needed. Taking part in the morning skate and practicing on the top power-play unit is a good indication that he will be back.

Cam York and Jamie Drysdale also participated in the skate as well, the latter in a no-contact jersey. Neither are ready to return, allowing the Flyers to keep Emil Andrae in the lineup for a bit longer.

Flyers Projected Roster

Owen Tippett - Sean Couturier - Travis Konecny

Joel Farabee - Scott Laughton - Bobby Brink

Anthony Richard - Ryan Poehling - Matvei Michkov

Tyson Foerster - Noah Cates - Garnet Hathaway

Emil Andrae - Travis Sanheim

Nick Seeler - Rasmus Ristolainen

Egor Zamula - Erik Johnson

Buffalo Sabres

The Sabres have played well as of late, collecting four wins in their last five games. Their offense has shown up in a big way, even in the loss. They scored 22 goals, 23 if you count the shootout winner against Calgary. Their opponents have scored 14 goals, seven of those coming from Montreal. The Sabres won't play again for four days, so expect them to empty the tank against the Flyers.

Tage Thompson leads the way for Buffalo in goals (11) and points (18), though he is still recovering from injury and won't be available against Philadelphia. Alex Tuch is behind him with 16 points, while JJ Peterka is second with seven goals. The Sabres have also gotten strong offensive play from Rasmus Dahlin and Owen Power on the backend. They have 14 and 13 points respectively.

With Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen sidelined, it should be Devon Levi in the net. It's been a rough start to the season for the 22-year-old. He won his last start against St. Louis, breaking a personal three-game losing streak. Levi has posted a 3.87 GAA and a .870 SV%. He'll be looking for his third win of the season.

Sabres Projected Roster

Zach Benson - Ryan McLeod - Alex Tuch

JJ Peterka - Dylan Cozens - Jack Quinn

Jiri Kulich - Peyton Krebs - Jason Zucker

Beck Malenstyn - Sam Lafferty - Nicolas Aube-Kubel

Rasmus Dahlin - Bowen Byram

Owen Power - Jacob Bryson

Dennis Gilbert - Connor Clifton
