After officially adding Ryan Fitzgerald, Tanner MacMaster, and Zane McIntyre it appears that Phantoms general manager Brett Flahr isn’t done yet continuing to boost the roster ahead of the season.

With training camp set to begin and an announcement coming any day now, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms continue to shape up their roster by adding 26-year-old goaltender Eamon McAdam to Lehigh Valley’s roster on a standard player contract or otherwise known as SPC.

McAdam most recently signed an SPC with the Jacksonville Iceman to begin the ECHL season on December 5th where so far this season he’s appeared in eight games recording 2.53 GAA, .915SV% earning him a respectable 4-2-2 record.

The Pennsylvania native spent last season in Glens Falls with the ECHL’s Adirondack Thunder and was their number one net-minder posting a 15-19-4 record with 3.25 GAA, .893 SV% on an AHL contract with the Binghamton Devils.

McAdam’s presence at Lehigh Valley’s camp brings five years of ECHL experience. The 2013 3rd round pick by the New York Islanders spent three seasons in their organization.

While yet to make his NHL debut, he developed quite nicely in the Islanders system.

Eamon McAdam’s time with Jacksonville this season might have come to an end, of course depending on what Phantoms head coach Scott Gordon, assistant coach Kerry Hoffman and GM Brett Flahr would like to do with this team.

With Roddy Ross still unsigned, there is still potential for the Phantoms to keep McAdam on the roster as an extra goaltender. With COVID-19 taking twists and turns every single day presenting new challenges, this year will be harder to get a goaltender at game time and with injuries, another goaltender can’t hurt the team.

Lots of questions still remain, and we might get answers this week. Including the announcement of a training camp and AHL schedule.

With McAdam signed to an AHL contract to begin Phantoms camp, the roster currently stands like this:

Goalies (4): Zane McIntyre, Roddy Ross (unsigned), Felix Sandstrom & Eamon McAdam

Forwards (14): Ralph Cuddemi, Ryan Fitzgerald, Tyson Foerster, David Kase, Pascal Laberge, Tanner Laczynski, Tanner MacMaster, Cal O’Reilly, Linus Sandin, Brennan Saulnier, Matthew Strome, Maksim Sushko, Max Willman, & Zayde Wisdom.

Defensemen (8): Chris Bigras, Logan Day, Linus Hogberg, Mason Millman, Derrick Pouliot, Tyler Wotherspoon, Wyatte Wylie & Egor Zamula
